Job Description

  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair cold room refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and control system faults.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cold rooms, chillers, and freezer systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance and ensure temperature compliance.
  • Inspect refrigeration components, identify defects, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain service records, maintenance reports, and equipment documentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety standards and operating procedures.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and after-hours service calls when required.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient completion of maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cold room or industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Strong knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, refrigeration controls, and related equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining cold rooms, chillers, and freezer systems.
  • Good understanding of electrical wiring, control panels, temperature controllers, and refrigeration control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret refrigeration and electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of refrigerant handling procedures and leak detection techniques.
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance programs and workplace safety standards.
  • Leadership or technician supervision experience will be an advantage.
  • Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to work overtime and attend emergency breakdowns when necessary.
