Efforts to Revitalize Traditional Cee Longyi for A New Era
As these fabrics originated from the Kyee The’ region, they were named Kyee The’ Cee Longyi to reflect their geographic and cultural roots. From the initial stages of production to the final weaving, every step in the creation of these traditional textiles has evolved. Beginning with the raw materials, the process has shifted from standard threads to high-quality Premium Grade 2/100 cotton yarn. This transformation was driven by a desire to improve quality and craftsmanship.
Throughout each stage of the process, various challenges had to be overcome. Despite these obstacles, the weavers were able to successfully incorporate gold and silver threads alongside the 2/100 yarn in the final product. This has elevated Kyee The’ Cee Longyi to the level of a truly premium and distinctive creation.
Although these traditional textiles are culturally rich and visually captivating, they were once rarely worn by people in the local region. Today, however, Kyee The’ Cee Longyi has emerged as a symbol of pride, frequently worn at ceremonies and special occasions. It now stands as a prestigious regional product, representing both heritage and innovation.
